Watched this with my son Tucker last night. Holy crap.
Most hilarious idea for a zombie movie ever. Yet strangely scary at the same time haha. I’m never going to New Zealand ever, ever, ever, ever, ever!
I really liked both of 'em there, black sheep I thought was great fun, and Flight of the Dead, mixed two of my favorite genres; zombies of course, and the disaster movie.
What was the last zombie movie I watched?....
Land of the Dead. I mean, i've seen it a million times, but It's been in the DVD player in the bedroom, so I watch it while I'm going to sleep, so I don't have to hear the crap that the missus is watching on the television box in the living room.
by the way, here's a great uncredited cameo by TATTOO LEGEND Bob Tyrell.
do yrself a favor and look him up. Night Gallery tattoo
JUNK. that's one of those movies that I've seen a handful of times, and every single time, I forgot I ever watched it. Is that a good thing, or just an example of my terrible short term memory?
...as i was watching this trailer i was thinking "oh the missus is gonna hate me for making her watch more japanese zombie movies", then i realized, 'shit, that's just junk again.
...by the by, last zombie movie i watched, still land of the dead. Ten minutes at a time, every night. I wish there were more decent movies with Asia Argento in fishnets. How did such an ugly man have such an attractive daughter?
...hope i don't get in trouble for this one. I just had to make up for that ugly dario pic...
I do the same thing with "Evil Dead Trap" for some reason. I watched that thing three times just thinking that I was watching a similar movie. Terrible memory for some things. the upside to that is that I can enjoy movies over and over again, and you don't wanna even get me started on books. I've got some of my 'trash zombie lit' as the wife calls it that I've read a dozen times.
Not a bad little flick. Draws a lot from Evil Dead so it gets rather campy. However, a bunch of Med students some with military backgrounds, stuck in a snow bound cabin and Nazi zombies. Lots and lots of Nazi zombies!!! So, yes... I enjoyed this one but I also enjoyed "Outpost" (on WI so you don't have an excuse) another Nazi zombie film but Outpost is decidedly far less campy and more atmospheric.
Dead Snow - Availability Unknown... so not sure when NF will be carrying the title but it is still playing in some indy theaters.
LOL, my bad about Outpost... confusing my 'supernatural/undead things in fog/mist/poor lighting' movies ;)
But yes, I really do like the most of the posters I have seen for Dead Snow. Also the more I think about he movie the more I liked the film. Glad it went the direction it did.
The Day of the Dead remake was terrible but I've ranted on about it before so I'll leave it with that. Last zombie flick I watched was the original Dawn of the Dead. I'm out at my parents' house so I had to take advantage of their bad ass home theater(projection screen and all) with one of my favorite zombie movies of all time. And before that was Shaun of the Dead...love it!!! Dawn of the Dead was great on a big screen, makes up for being too young to ever catch it in a movie theater. It never get's old. Thinking about watching the original Day of the Dead as well.
I've been watching 28 days later for the past few nights, to help me go to sleep. Nothing like some crazed post apocolyptic-ness to soothe the nerves. Gotta find a 'new' one for tonight.
