the consensus for "American Zombie" seems to be that, yeah, it sucked. Seems like I'm the only the one who kinda enjoyed it. The missus liked it too, and she's 'bout burnt out on all the zombie movies I make her watch, 'specially the 'cheapies'. I really liked it though. Reminded me quite a bit of the novel "Breathers; a Love Story", which incidentally, has been optioned for a film adaptation by 'Juno' scripter Diablo Cody (who I think is terribly overrated), but hey, legitmacy for zombies is a GOOD thing.
Yeah, i caught that one, kinda unmemorable though, but entertaining enough. If my brain worked a li'l better I'd list off the two dozen similar titles that came out at about the same time, but alas, my brain is a li'l broken.
I watched "Tokyo Zombie" today. 3 out of 5. If the first 105 or so minutes had been better I'd have given it more, and if the last 15 minutes or so didn't get so interesting for me, I'd have given it a LOT less! Make sure to stay thru the end (of course that's becoming the norm) So watch it, just give it a chance I say, it MAY win you over.
