What a piece of garbage! The screenplay was terrible, the directing was bad and the acting was even worse! I enjoyed the first movie for its surrealism and stunning visuals, but this one? What were they thinking? I cannot even in all good conscious give the movie a B Rate status, as that would insult the B Rate genre! I see this is the only movie directed by Tim Iacofano available. I suspect the only reason he was allowed to direct this was due to his previous directing of a few episodes of 24... I will not be looking forward to any future projects with his name on it.

Eden Log by director Franck Vestiel... (as one reviewer wrote) is definitely one of those WTF movies. Its a uniquely dark, creepy, eerie flick that you may easily wish to watch a 2nd (or 3rd) time to see if you missed anything, or if you can answer any remaining questions that might be lurking in your mind. It does have somewhat of a video game quality to it, but it is not damaged by it either. The way that Vestiel directed this does indeed make me want to check out other films done by him as well. The style of this movie is such that even the smallest of comments on its content can be viewed as a spoiler of sorts. The official description is decent enough to either tweak your interest or not. I will say that even though the synopsis says the guy wakes up naked, you are not subjected to any nudity, or at least not any that you can truly see. I suggest watching it, and then come back and let me know if you figured out WTF. I kind of sort of did, but still had questions that stuck in my mind for a couple days, and I watched it twice... Back to Back. The first time was the original French version with English subs, and then the English dubbed version. I will add that if "seemingly" black and white flicks give you a headache, you might not like that aspect of this film, its not filmed in B&W, but it is very dark and "seems" to be B&W with the rare pops of color being quite startling and rather effective in the style this film was shot. I really enjoyed it and give it a solid 4 stars, the fifth star is missing because you never really know WTF.

This is just about as Cheesy B Rate as they get! I would hazard a guess that if we could take a look at the scenes on the cutting room floor, we'd find the proverbial kitchen sink. If you're not a fan of all things cheesy, silly and splaterific, then you will not enjoy this film, its that simple. Also if you take things too serious, there's a scene that you might object too, that "perhaps" is a bit over the top, but remember... Its only a movie, its not real, the very young actor in this scene will not have any psychological damage from having been in the movie. Its a very shocking scene, but that's the whole point. I don't suggest eating anything that will make your tummy queasy before viewing this one either, if you did, keep a bucket handy. You have been warned!

Couldn't you link it to Evil Herbivore's post (old post in the Complaints, Gripes and Unfocused Rage discussion board) that explains why there is no longer an email address for Netrflix?
This message was just left in the "NOOB must read" thread and I didn't want you to miss it.
Kisses!!
Dude! If we don't reply to the bots trash, it doesn't get bumped back up.
Till DM figures out how to make his ban stick.... The least exposure the better!
So then, wouldn't one note on Knalds' comment page have been better?
You're most likely correct in assessing the HSM audio issue. So far that's the worse disc playback problem my cheapie, but trusty receiver has had to deal with.
Did you notice some audio issues in HSM? In some musical scenes, I've had to switch to "6ch stereo" from 5.1 DD EX due to some of the sounds not coming through. It's either my receiver or the DVD. Your description of the sequel audio issue is very similar to what I experienced in the first one. I should have run the DVD through a more basic hookup to see if it is a receiver problem.
seen your posts here and there, thought i would stop by your

I like to play football (soccer), and it's a sport that I can watch yearlong. Other sports are just worth checking out during playoff time. Chicago is a sports mad city, and it makes me an anomaly! Do you play or watch?
