Saturday plans

Saturday is my 21st birthday, my plans go are :

- Go to day two of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival which is made of of no one I would want to see but I go to stand outside with half the city, waiting in line from everything from food, drinks & bathrooms.

- Go to the wonderful Slim Goodies, which for the weekends of Jazz Fest will have night hours from 6 pm to 10 pm. I now do not have to wake up at 6 am to get my pancakes this weekend.

- Since I will be 21 , I can finally go into… Continue

Thanks for the tip! It looks devastatingly sad, so of course I can't wait to buy it! Looking it up on Amazon led me to some lists of other graphic novels that I have now put in list form and will carry around in my wallet...just in case (like the good little obsessive nerd that I am)!

Things good with you?

Hi there ~ Nice meeting you! I have indeed seen Chef! Frankly, there are very few britcoms which have been shown here in Indy that I haven't seen. I did enjoy Chef, though it isn't one of my favorites. I see that Artgirl helped you find a copy, good for her! I am currently bidding on Butterflies seasons 3 and 4 at ebay. Those were never released here, but are available in GB. I probably won't get it, though, 'cause I'm one of those cheap ebay shoppers. I never bid high.

By the way, did you see Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson? I liked it, but few of my friends cared for it much....

Holler at you later, CJ!

There isn't any Roy Orbison biopic movie that I am aware of currently --
But there are a number of live performance DVDs out there, like "Roy Orbison: Black & White Night" (1987) and "Roy Orbison: Live from Australia" (2005) -- Both of those are available right now on Netflix Instant Watch
& DVD.

I don't think teaching in Kansas (at least in the smallish town I live in) takes nearly the courage as teaching in New Orleans! At least I hope not! I'm going to teach high school English but I've got over a year still to go.

Apparently we're both losers because I have Tin-tin and Asterix & Obelix here at home! But I confess to a greater enjoyment of the more mature BDs. It has been a major source of frustration that I can't find a source to order French graphic novels without shipping over seas. And I also have a problem with not knowing what to order. They are popular in France but are only just appearing in the US.

So, I excitedly checked the internet for L'Ascension du Haut Mal (finally, the lead on a good one), and poof...the only ones I can find are $99 EACH. How frustrating. I hope one day I'll get an opportunity to read it, but it's not looking hopeful.

I've got Maus and it is wonderful! Persepolis is also not available, except for an outrageous amount of money. The film version recently played in town, but I missed that too. Zeros all around!

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions and I hope you are enjoying all those lovely animals at work and at home!
