I'm a Mom, Pro Photographer, and big movie watcher. Since I don't really watch TV but maybe once a month - I watch a lot of movies. It's my escape from all the stresses of life.

(I used to watch A LOT of TV in the 70's and 80's)

What's In a 5 Star-Rating?

This is how I personally break it down...

5 stars - Well acted, excellent cinematography, evokes strong emotions (humor, sadness, horror, surprise, etc...) leaves you with an impression that lasts. Most important...it speaks to me personally! Same with any art - does it speak to you? Does it touch your soul??? For better or worse a 5 star movie has staying power.
