About Me:
I have a lot of kids, so I don't get out much. I love to escape with a good movie or book since it's the only escape I have! (Of course, I usually choose the to do the same even when I DO have time on my hands.)

The Silmarillion is not a modern novel in format, it's more an epic saga cycle so odd to modern sensibilities. (I can adapt!)
I liked the movies very much but since the books are my favorites you'd think that the movies would be my favorites. I think the problem is taking the inner moral dialog (nobility, sacrifice, courage) and turning it into a bunch of battle scenes with special effects -- less heart and soul. I haven't reviewed these or many movies yet! He's my favorite author. To be honest I havent read Silmarillion or Unfinished Tales straight through much less many times as with Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Letters, and everything else.
Hey, Achu! Welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy it here!
If you're interested, there's this group called Favorite Movie Hunks. It's total fluff, but we have a good time. It's hunks, hunks, hunks, 24/7. Stop by and check us out sometime.
