Well, I have faves from all decades. I too worked through a lot of the 70's/80's but still caught good shows on repeats or DVD! The 50's are a particular fave for me (since I'm old and really remember them), but mostly they either make me laugh at how ridiculous the era was about WOMEN, or it brings me back to a place in time where I was having fun and enjoying life. The Theme songs are especially great for that, as I know almost all the words to the ones I loved. Of course in order to run the Retro-TV game - I have to crop out a lot of titles (mostly in the 50's and 60's) and it just kills me when the song jumps like "Who was the tall dark stranger there. . . XXXXXXXX was his name!" lol

Hi, thanks for asking to be my friend. :) I like your pictures. What kinds of British (or English) tv comedies do you like? I once saw one about a female vicar that was pretty funny. She told a bawdy joke that I won't repeat here...I like indie films too, though I have to confess the bulk of them I saw in the eighties and early nineties.
See you on the boards,

Thanks! I love arts... thus I love movies, but I am a biochemist by training. Hah, the cat's out of the bag... a real geek here!
I watched a fantastic movie this weekend, In The Mood For Love. It's a movie for the senses. It's a gorgeous visually and music -wise. The story is pretty simple, but the cinematography is fantastic.
Saw some good films actually... Everything Is Illuminated (love it!), The Road Home (love it) and The Shipping News (like it!). I actually posted my thoughts/reviews on them if you're interested.
