Hey EM,
I hesitate to mention I'm actually going to the Jalsaghar showing at 640pm with friends.... I will def drop my 2cents afterwards. The schedule is so dense, I might have finagle an out of office day to catch all that I want to see.
Apparentl…
While not Bollywood, I thought folks might be interested in the Satyajit Ray retrospective that starts this week at the Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center in NYC. Personally, I am super excited!

Hi again! Been ages since I've been on my Netflix page, though I try to read your reviews when I can. I've been very distracted lately, mostly by Mahesh Babu and Prabhas. Have you stumbled onto them in your forays into Telugu film? Talk about easy on the eyes. I have yet to see Autograph, but one of these days I will get my hands on it! Latest BW I watched was Delhi 6, which I was partly dreading, due to the comments of people on the forum. I was very very pleasantly surprised. Quite a beautiful film, in its way!
Anyway, what have you been watching lately?
Check out Anand, with Raja. It's very cute and they have it on NF.
I wish I had driven to see Jodha Akbar-- I think it should be seen on the Big Screen. But most of the time I'm happy with my BW on my TV. :)
What got you interested in it in the first place?
Yes, it's great to have people to discuss (rant) about BW with! You should check out BollyWHAT?! It's a site with lots of info-- most of which you probably already know if you're already into Southie films! But the forum is great. B/c of it I think I know that the city from NY Nagaram is the same one used in part of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Switzerland? Canada? I can't recall.... Anyway, you're lucky you have access to a nearby cinema that plays BW! I live in the Bay Area, CA, and would have to drive an hour to do the same. But I'm still trying to see everything they have on Netflix, so I have time.....
Thanks for the p-pcc tip and link, Katiekate! I couldn't help reading their reviews of Devdas 1955 and Devdas 2002, and Dil Se. Great find, I'll probably spend a lot of time there.
