Almost all the documentaries made by Frederick Wiseman are available for sale at zipporah.com, but Netflix does not carry any of them! Let's please agitate to get Netflix to add some Wiseman films (if not all!).

Not nearly as exploitated as I thought. The build up in my mind was ten times greater than what I actually saw on the screen. I guess too much hype for too many years led to a complete let down on some XP level. I need to watch it again and pay more attention to some of the stuff going on before I cast my final judgement on it but I'm glad I watched it!

Finally saw Salo. Very interesting. I'm still trying to figure it all out in my head.

Honestly I have no idea, they just do. Mini was always spitting up as they like to call it. The Mrs. would nurse him and then I would burp him and I would be covered in requrgitated breast milk. My carpet stunk like breast milk and baby vomit the first year of Mini's existence on this mortal coil.

There are so many reasons for it. The biggest reason though is that their digestive track is still developing. Being a parent like I've said before is both the hardest thing you will ever do in your entire life and also the most rewarding. One minute you're cleaning up vomited hot dogs (which by the way is not a good food to feed your 15 month old but I was lazy on Sunday) and the next your little one is snuggling into your arms saying "dada, dada" and you know it means "thank you dad, I love you with all my little heart".

Glad to hear your alive! I was worried about you, I know how hard the nursing program is! My cousin's wife is also currently going through the RN program and she just had a her second baby over spring break. That girl is nuts and she is currently doing her Mental Health rotation the same place my wife did (which actually still has the rooms in the basements where they locked up the mentally ill and the lobotomy rooms). My wife said you could feel a presence there during the rotations.

Life is far more terrorfying than fiction. By the way I can't spell.

Mini Microwaved is doing good. On Sunday night he woke me up about 1:30 AM vomiting his little guts out. I was one sad dad cleaning up all the vomit and holding my little man in my arms while he sobbed. It was the first time he's thrown up since he was a little baby (they do that throw up thing a lot when their nursing).

I grew up here and just...stayed. I've already had a few different mini-careers and now do medical transcription from home. I went back to FSU a few years ago and finished my BA, but am so used to working at home (in my frumpies) that I haven't branched out. About all I could do with my degree is teach public school Latin, which seems less than thrilling, especially now that I am undeniably "middle aged." (oh no!)

Nursing is a good profession -- lots of job security, good pay Tough work, though. I worked in hospitals for about 12 years before switching over to home, and started out as an ER paramedic, so I know what you're going through. How much longer do you have? Delete Comment

We were just talking about Zoo in the Documentary group and I came here to "meet" you. Seems we both live in Tallahassee. How weird is that?

After my last band was starting to fizzle (called Experimental Mind Therapy) I wanted to continue making music but using my real name on the interweb not such a good idea. So I was listening to a song by the band Pitchshifter (they perfectly blend Industrial/metal/techno/break beats) called Microwaved and it just seemed to fit my particular mood at the time. The song is about how society has become a microwaved society of fast food and simple minds and I thought that message carried over into what I was doing. Thus Microwaved and it's stuck since then.

I didn't but the Mrs. may have. She has a keen eye for style. I on the other hand wear a lot of black.
