What I Snack on in Movie Theaters
I try not to snack between meals.
About Me:
My favorite stories are romances in which the central couple earn the right to fall in love. I prefer character-driven stories, rather than plot-driven stories. I will only give a movie five stars if I would consider endorsing it for all time on my gravestone. I am a professional science nerd.

Oh! I see. I noticed the different color, and thought you did it for emphasis!
Yes, I imagine this isn't sitting well with you. I've actually added the book into my queue to read, as I'm tired of hearing so much about it. You're not the least tiniest bit curious about how this was pulled off?
Have I really not talked with you since Nov. 21? Yes, I know you're busy anyway, but I didn't think I'd been so negligent. I have a seminar class tonight, but that's the last of it for me. I already miss my students dreadfully.
I may even go to see Brothers today, although I recently found out it's a remake of a foreign film, drats... I've seen the foreign one and now know more about this new one than I want to. We're still recovering from a snow storm in Salina and I haven't left the house in three days, so it's clearly time to venture out into the world again.
Finishing up with your classes? You're probably busy as a summer bee, so I won't bother you anymore.
We're never to old for coddling. Did you have the flu? It went through my family and assorted boyfriends and nieces and nephews, but somehow missed me... thank goodness as I saw first hand how much everyone suffered. For the most part, Salina is done with it, though I saw there are Paris schools closings because of student illness; it didn't get that bad here. Anyway, glad you're better now.
Your reviews are fabulous. No one else that I know has the way with words that you do. I hope you don't mind that I've suggested your reviews to a few of my friends, as I think they will enjoy them as much as I do.
Legend of the Seeker? It's really that good? You and another NFriend are both recommending it so I will give it a try. While I'm watching no real movies, I have been keeping my tv series queues hopping.
Enjoyed your Pam and Jim chapters... I haven't yet seen this season and thought it very, very sweet. Are you almost done for the semester?
Oh, good, you've taken it down. Thanks, Mark. Now if I go all creepy stalker person on you, you'll have a sporting chance at avoiding me.
Well, it HAS been a long time since I've written. I just added Paris 36 and moved it to the top of my queue. I'm curious, when you watch french films do you use subtitles? I'm only at the point where I sometimes know what's being said, though I'm concentrating so hard on a particular phrase that I'll miss everything that follows, reducing my total comprehension down to not so good. Paris 36 looks like my kind of film, and I appreciate the note. Easy Virtue was never on my to-watch list so your remarks simply confirmed my pass.
Student teaching has been a mixed bag. I love it, but the stupid, short-sighted, idiot powers-that-be paired me with a teacher with major control issues. She has wonderful techniques and tricks that I can only hope one day to possess, but the woman cannot give up her kids to me. Meaning that I've had very little opportunity to practice on my own. Most frustrating.
But, I'll be finishing up in December and looking for the real deal after that. Someone told me that the Salina Journal has an article about how our school district will fill very, very few openings this fall. I suppose I should read it, but I haven't the heart today. I know that jobs are a problem all over, but three years ago, they were begging for teachers... I'm still in shock how quickly it changed.
Oh, well, substitute teaching, Here I Come!!
I haven't watched a netflix movie in three months and my queues are bursting at the seams, it's actually kind of depressing. Oh hey! I saw that you started a thread recently on missing episodes on television IWs and have wondered about it myself. Interesting responses.
It's 5:54 pm and all I can think of is going to bed. I'll try to hang on to 7, but it might be tight.
