A Small Set Of My Favorite Movies
...have to confess, I waited until the first couple of "DIE HARD's" were on television to see them...didn't really want to hear all of the "language." Fortunately, I now have a DVD player that censors unnecessary "language;" so, I can view Action Adventure films with pleasure. :-) ...LOVED the suspense, intrigue, and high drama in the "Die Hard" films.

"SECONDHAND LIONS" is an outstanding Comedy. "Secondhand Lions" encompasses intrigue, Action/Adventure, outrageous humor, and yes, it even has moments that are engagingly tender. Guys, I'd be tremendously surprised if you didn't relish this film, too. :-)

"THAT TOUCH OF MINK" starring Cary Grant and Doris Day is a premier Comedic Love Story that will, forever, stand the test of time. ;-) Young women, if you haven't seen this film, trust me, you'll adore "That Touch of Mink"!

"DOUBLE JEOPARDY" and "EXECUTIVE DECISION" are phenomenally harrowing Action/Adventure films... Luv suspensful films that require incredible "thought!" ;-)

"INDEPENDENCE DAY" has to be one of the BEST Action/Adventure, Dramatic Sci-Fi films that I've ever viewed, AND I saw it when it opened ON "Independence Day" ...how cool is that? :-) "Independence Day" entails high-drama, sweet slices of humor, suspense; simultaneously interweaves emotional love stores...FABULOUS FILM!

"ATONEMENT" is an intriguing Dramatic Love Story...would NEVER have guessed the conclusion. "FREQUENCY" is a suspenseful Drama that FULLY captured my attention.

"AUGUST RUSH" is a film that's heart-rendering; yet, endearing.
"August Rush" instills extraordinary hope, and who doesn't need "extraordinary" hope? :-)

"AWAKE" is a Dramatic Thriller with a suspenseful twist that occurs about mid-way in the film. This film isn't for the squeamish, but if you enjoy a film with the element of surprise, this'll do it. (If you're like me, I might suggest turning on playguard when viewing this film. :-)

"LOVE COMES SOFTLY," is a captivating Dramatic/Western/Faith-filled/Love Story. I don't usually appreciate Western's, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film). ...BOUGHT the entire series. The starring characters are compelled to overcome insurmountable loss and adversity, and at least, for one of the characters, when "Love Comes Softly," the heart is obliged to accentuate the hearing.

"ANNE OF GREEN GABLES" is a Family-Friendly film that engulfs the heart of humans all ages. I've tendered a review regarding this film, but I have absolutely NO CLUE how to locate that review! :-)

"THE ULTIMATE GIFT" is thought-provoking, encouraging, and absolutely WON MY HEART!

Other films that I've enjoyed, in no particular order (using playguard, of course: :-)

Dante's Peak, Ever After, High Crimes, Guarding Tess, The Guardian (...revere the U.S. Coast Guard in a much greater capacity now :-), LEFT BEHIND II, Sabrina, RED DAWN (...an amazing, thought-provoking Action/Adventure Drama), Pelican Brief, Return to Me, Space Cowboys, RUDY (...definitely need playguard for this film, but what a remarkable, true story, of a young man who dared to overcome poverty, adversity and stereotype. Rudy is consistently challenged to accept defeat, but against all odds, manages to TRANSFORM his future, AS WELL AS the future of his siblings by sheer willpower, determination, and example. At the conclusion of this film, you'll want to STAND UP and CHEER!), The Day After Tomorrow, Iron Eagles, Armageddon, ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD (...LUV this film!), Brian's Song (You'll definitely need tissue!), Braveheart, The Inheritance (One of my Favorites.), First Knight (the first DVD that I ever owned: It was a gift. :-), Houseguest (...CUTE comedy!), Jumpin' Jack Flash (Woopie at her best! :-), MADAME X (...an incredible tearjearker!), Passenger 57, Pearl Harbor, RADIO :-), SHADOWLANDS (...precious Love Story...grab the tissue box!), Steel Magnolias, Sudden Death, THE CHRISTMAS CARD (lovely story), THE GLENN MILLER STORY, THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, The Mask of Zorro, The Legend of Zorro (...and I don't like Westerns. :-), The Princess Diaries (...sweet comedy), The Saint, Timepiece, Titanic, TUESDAY'S WITH MORRIE ...MUST SEE film...don't forget the box of tissue! :-), U-571, WAIT UNTIL DARK (Audrey Hepburn is brilliant in this dramatically suspenseful film. Within my heart, it will forever stand the test of time.), Walk the Line, Volcano, While You Were Sleeping (...another sweet comedy).

Now, turn your computer off, get your soda and popcorn, and DEVOUR MOVIES! ;-)
What I Snack on in Movie Theaters
Popcorn, WITH BUTTER, and ALWAYS drink Coke Classic! :-) Ummmmm....
About Me:
LUV the Lord, LUV my family, LUV friends, LUV Music, LUV Clean Humor LUV Movies,

and LUV LIFE! :-)))

…all about ME, and I might even get around to talking about MOVIES!

It's one of those, "I have absolutely nothing to say day's, but I'm goin' to speak my mind anyway, assuming that I have one!" :-)

I'm the quintessential UP the DOWN, IN the OUT, PUSH the PULL girl. I have a little tendency to SPEAK before I THINK, RUN before I WALK, and occasionally, fall FLAT ON MY FACE. I love to giggle, GIGGLE, G I G G L E !!!

I received my Bachelor's Degreeeee from Dumb-Bell University. I majored in "boys" and minored in "more boys," and then, I married one. (Majoring and Minoring was much more fun: didn't have to cook, clean, or pick up spit cans. :-(

Attending the University was the first time that I had really been away from home. I simply couldn't part with the AMAZING state of TEXAS...the home of VW-size roaches, red dirt, cockleburs by the millions, and mounds and mounds of ants...mercy me, almost Heaven!

Reluctantly, I left my adopted hometown of HOUSTON, and attended Dumb-Bell University in the state of DAZED and CONFUSION...haven't located it on the GPS yet, but take my word for it, it definitely exists. After 12 short years at Dumb-Bell University, they pled with me to take my Bachelor's degreeee and RUN, I meant, move on to bigger and better things.

Couldn't help but weep when I left the campus grounds of Dumb-Bell University for the last time. They really loved me there. I was the only girl in the history of the University to ever be voted, "Least Likely to Achieve" all 12 years.

...enough about me, let's talk about MOVIES! One of my favorite actors is Nesley Swipes. He's a hunky, chocolate-flavored entertainer, from Hershey, PA (I'm sure), who does a lot of action/adventure films. He was fabulous in "Murder at 1600" (…never did get why they used nautical time in that title).

If you love silly, KraZy, zannY, clean, and FUNsational conversations, as well as FABULOUS movies, I would love to invite YOU to become this new girl's NEWEST friend!

Sher

P.S. If you rrrrreally LUV to LAUGH, a number of the VIDEOS that I have downloaded are LOL funny. :-)))

Hi Sher! Thanks for befriending me. I think we might know each other. I'll leave you a private message.

Ah, no worries about the short response. As long as I am getting one, it is fine with me. Short, long.. whatever! :)

Well, if you ever have to leave again, just let me know, dear heart.

I would say 'Sweet dreams' back, but it seems I am a little late for that. So, for that, I will say this 'Good mornin' '! :)

Hehe. Yes, I really DO read a lot. But, ever since I got my internet back, I haven't been reading as much as I would like. =(

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your husbands father. How often do you have to visit his mother? Just so I know when to expect you, or, should I say, when not to expect you haha. I don't want to worry like that ever again!

Oh, I am glad for those fabulous friends of yours! Of course, if I lived close to you, I would help get you 'on the straight and narrow' as you so put it. I'd like that :)

Hm.. I really don't know what I will major in, at least not quite yet. As much as I love to read, I do not like to write and I am not a very good writer at that! BUT, I do love photography, so I am thinking of taking a photography class, see how I like it, and if I do, I will probably do that. But, for right now, I will just go in undecided. I don't want to be like my sister and change majors 5 times before my sophomore year! haha.

Aw, you're too cute! Sweet treat? Pfft. I have got to come up with something adorable for you. I am horrible with nicknames! :P

Oh, sweet Sher, I could NEVER forget you! How could you ever think such silly thoughts?

What are you out of town for?? I am not sure you ever told me. I remember a lot of things, but not that! haha.

Oh, not much is up with me, at least not yet! Will start school in the fall. I decided to take a break from High School to college. I graduated in May (no high honors or anything, although I deserved them! haha) and I meant to get a job, but no such luck. So, I just hope to get lots of Financial Aid! =P

Oh, I have seen way too many movies since I last spoke to you. I don't even know where to begin! I did see Slumdog Millionaire, which has been nominated for pretty much everything under the sun!, and it was amazing. I also saw Amelie, a cute littel french film that I think everyone needs to see. Those are the most recent, and I've seen a couple things in the theater, but I will have to make a list of them all just for you! Oh, also, remember me talking about all those books I was reading? Well, I kept count over the summer, and guess how many I read? From May-September: 43!! WOAH!

What about you, dollface? Any movies?

Yeah, we made it through the hurricane, but Ike sent me back to the year 1895 with the power outage for 5 days, no ice, fuel, etc... I'm glad to say we had power restored yesterday. It's a good thing because I was getting used to beef jerkey and warm beer everyday, and it wasn't half bad!!
