Perhaps some love stories....
One you might not come across is Peter Ibbetson. It is a great flick for a couple to watch, even though it is not a gay couple, the gender roles are not conventional. It is the second feature on the DVD. The first is Design for Living and shippable, especially if you’re familiar with the play. The film strays so from the original that the male leads are no longer lovers.
An older flick that you may never have heard of is Performance. Mick Jagger is a has-been bisexual rocks star – that is his character in the film. James Fox, the other male lead went in to rehab after filming. Apparently they did not use prop Psychedelic ‘shrooms. Basically, no one is acting, which may explain why the intimacy actually is intimate at moments. Watch it and consider what contemporaries you would cast in each part today. It makes for some funny coupling.

A Year With 13 Moons is another interesting one that looks at gender and love, but if the description does not make you curious, then you may want to skip it.
Have you seen this one from last year’s gay film circuit?.... If The World Were Mine? The film festival is a few months away, when the new batch of films are shopped for distribution. Perhaps some standouts then
