Can anyone explain from a business standpoint why shipping movies is more economical than instant stream? it seems Netflix would rather ship movies.................

As far as the OP goes, I'll bet there's a lot of movies that he hasn't seen yet on instant watch.
I think Knaldskall answerd the question by explaining how the movie studios have contracts, that do not allow site s like NF too add those movies we so desperatly want to watch on streaming video.
