Dear One, in spite of your terrible ordeal, you still have a sense of humor...good for you, Patrick.
Yea, for power! It's the pits having no power. We've been through that several times here St. Louis in the past few years...glad that you have air conditioning again and a refrigerator.
ASAP you need to consume a really BIG STEAK...worries me that beef jerkey is becoming so comfortably "familiar." :-)
I'm glad that you're weathering the storm, Patrick, no pun intended. You keep on keeping on.
I'm still waiting to hear those "stories"about MO. Ya better hurry, if you're going to share them, like so many other marvelous places, I'm sad to say, MO's washin' away, Dear One...lots of levee's breaking and flooding.
Apart from the heat, how are you fairing your way? ...hope all is well with you!
Did ya miss me? I was away longer than I had anticipated. I missed our jovial little chats.
I was lost all over TN, KY, IL, and in some parts of MO on the recent trip, forgot the GPS :-( (...reaaally intelligent! You'll just LOVE these Senior Moments when you're my age, Patrick. :-), but I didn't get lost in COLORADO again while trying to send a message to you. Are ya proud of me? :-)
You rest well tonight, Patrick. I'm going to put this Mac to sleep and take this weary body to bed.
X's from a TX Mamaw in MO,
Sher
P.S. Are you a Dad? If so, you'll have a very special day to celebrate soon! :-)
I adored your Piggly Wiggley story. When you were small, you were quite an enterprising young man, Patrick...good for you!
I still visit Houston; in fact, I was there just a few weeks ago. To be certain that I didn't get lost, I flew. Thank the Lord that Southwest knows where I'm going. :-)
Dear One, we'll chat again when I return from a mini-trip. It's a joy reminiscing with you.
Yep, Sher, you guessed it. I'm in Houston. Thanks for chatting with me. I enjoy meeting new people and you're the first in a long while. I know all about Piggly Wiggly so that made me laugh. My mother worked there for years and when I was a little fellow, I would go to work with her and carry out groceries for the customers so I could go over to the video game arcade with the change I would get. talk to you again! Patrick

...don't know where Montgomery, TX, is but I pray that you aren't near the devastation of Hurricane Ike.
Have a blessed day, Patrick.
