Hello Zimminkie,

Since you mentioned a while back that you were interested in some sort of "Watch Instant club" as you wrote over here. I invite you to contribute your top 10 actors and the list of your favorite directors and let us know your thoughts about the movies listed to date.

Here's the list of all the titles listed to date, and you can simply click on each one of them and play "catch up" and be "up to date".

Most of all - Enjoy!

Hi Zimminkie, I LOVE The Lives of Others!!! I also like The Tunnel and Good Bye, Lenin! have you seen them??? I actually got my start in watching foreign films by watching Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire... and never look back ever since.

I notice you're a German native... hmm.... at some pint i would love to hear your take on the East and West Berlin, if you don't mind. I am so fascinated by that period of history. Were you living in Germany before the fall of the Berlin Wall??? I watch a lot of movies about pre WW II or around that time, the topic of the holocaust also grabs my attention. I like Black Book, Charlotte Gray, Schindler's List, Europa Europa.

Eternally ideological and seeker of truth.... hemm.... sounds intriguing..
you and I have lots to talk about!

Hi Zimminkie, hope your Thanksgiving was joyous and blessed. It's actually my favorite holiday... families and friends minus the worries about gifts. So, what have you watched lately?

Hi, welcome to the community, I see that you use the Watch Instant feature on Netflix. I'd like to let you know that there is a group catered to everything Instant located over here: Watch Instant Treasure Hunters. Also, there is a constantly updated list of titles that will be expiring, which can be accessed over here: Watch Instant titles that will be expiring.

I am a huge Kieslowski films fan. He was Polish, but most of his films were in France or related to France thus in French. He was famous for The Three Colors Trilogy: Blue, White and Red. All his films get 5/5 stars from me except for White. There are The Double Lives of Veronique, The Decalogue (actually a TV series) and Heaven. I am yet to see Camera Buff - this is his early work. Kieslowski movies are very cerebral. He used symbolisms and infused his movies with his political views. I have to watch all his movies more than once to begin to understand what he tried to say.

I am not a Wong Kar Wai fan per say, but I do love In The Mood For Love and My Blueberry Nights. I am yet to see 2046 and Days of Being Wild. I don't care for Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. Wong is a Hong Kong director. His works are very beautiful, they are what I call sensory films. He pays attention to details on the visuals and music. The story is usually pretty straight forward.

So tell me about movies you really like.

About the photos... ah yes, those are my dream vacation places I wish to visit... someday. ";)
