Chee Kong Lim Gone With The Wind

Jack Wade, one of the many Hollywood reporters for "Photoplay" must have let loose a big girlish squeal when he got word from the "Selznick-International man" that he would not get bounced off the set of "Gone with the Wind" if he were to swing by to take a look.

"First of all, a report on Vivien Leigh...Hollywood already agreed that she's the happiest choice any one could have made. Even swamp angels from deepest Dixie put their okay on her accent...Clark Gable looks like the real Bi… Continue

prettythingsiwant 3 Movies.....One I Would Watch Again

Today I have seen not one, but three movies. Two of which I have no desire to watch ever again in my life and one I will probably watch again very soon. In order I watched, Star Trek, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard and I Love You Man. I loved Star Trek this time just as much as I did when I saw it in the cinema. In particular I was delighted with Simon Pegg's performance. The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard was horrible. Despite a weird love that I have for Jeremy Piven I just couldn't like the… Continue

Wisdom521 Stop with the Global Warming stuff in movies!!

It seems like every movie I watch says something about global warming. I'm watching Race to witch mountain with The Rock. Good movie. In one part there talking about why they came to Earth. They say something like "We were hurting are planet." The girl says "Sounds familiar." WHY!! I'm watching a movie. Not a documentary. I don't want to hear it. To the directors and writers in Hollywood. Stop putting your political and social views in movies. WE DON"T CARE. Take my money and just make a good mo… Continue

prettythingsiwant It's Bigger On The Inside........

See only a true Doctor Who geek would understand my title. I was a late comer to the whole Doctor Who lovefest, but I am a tried and true member now, as is my daughter. When Christopher Eccelston left the franchise as the 9th Doctor I cried like a baby (so did my daughter). When Rose Tyler, played by the beautiful Billy Piper, left we cried harder. We were not alone, Jacob who at the time of this event worked for a website called televisionwithoutpity.com, did a wonderful and amazing tribute (r… Continue

prettythingsiwant I Love A Twist Ending!

My flu has given way to much time in bed, and movie watching. I am more than half way through my very first viewing 2001: A Space Odyssey, which I am finding most enjoyable. I love the look, and the fact that I know bad things are coming. Maybe it's the medication but I am a little unfocused, and to tame my wandering brain I am watching other movies/tv shows, and Primal Fear with the amazing Ed Norton has been one such distraction. I remember the first time I saw this movie, I was just as impr… Continue

prettythingsiwant How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (possible spoilers)

I adore Simon Pegg. He is smart, funny, geeky and just good looking enough to be any geeky fangirls wet dream come true. I will admit to being a huge fan of his series Space (with Jessica Hynes), so that should immediately throw my opinion of anything Pegg does right out the window. However since this is my own little slice of internet heaven I get to spout my thoughts, and cross my fingers that there is a like minded soul who agrees with me out there somewhere. Today while suffering from the f… Continue

KorbinM Movie Reviews Can Be A Guide To Movie Goers

Movie Reviews were always part of movie’s progress. Many movie critics are well known because of their frank and almost wonderful predictions on how the movies will be accepted by the viewers. For some this could be there guide to chose what to watch and for some – “TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE…”

The relative good vs. bad of… Continue

Windy Weather PS3 Instant Viewing Works Great

I've been using the PS3 Instant viewing for a few days now and it's excellent. The quality is very high, it's very reliable and the interface is very functional. For a couple of months I have been using PlayOn running on another computer as a DLNA server through my PS3 to watch Netflix, Hulu, CBS, and Revision 3. It's ok, but it tends to hang up, esp at the beginning of a piece, and it often gets "corrupted data" and other DLNA errors. I have gotten none of these problems with the Netflix PS3 s… Continue
