So there I was looking for a new movie to add to my queue. Having seen or added all the movies that I wanted, I decided to check out the new New Release page. In a Dark Place with Leelee Sobieski was recommended. I like her... she's like a mini-Helen Hunt. I read the reviews. All 108 of them. Most of them saying how horrible this movie is. How the ending is so bad that you are left wondering what the hell exactly happened. Now I actually want to add this movie to my queue.
Am I the only one who does this? I want to see just how bad it is. I mean can it really be so bad that people are claiming that even after watching the special features in the disc, they are still left in the dark about the movie.
I never learn. I've done this very same thing hundreds of times before. The most recent that comes to memory is the movie Dragon Wars. I've read hundreds of posts claiming just how bad the movie was and how even if you were given it for free, you should just throw it away. Of course, I had to see it for myself. OH... MY... GOD! That was 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back again. I could've been scrubbing tile grout instead which would've accomplished two things. A cleaner bathroom and a happy girlfriend. The first one has obvious benefits. The second is almost like a Mastercard commercial... priceless.
What's next on my crap viewing list? The Marsh with Gabrielle Anwar. I've read mixed reviews. How bad could it be? ;-)
