Secret Agent Gal...
One of our mutual Friends told me about the unpleasent experience you had on the NF site. How unnerving. Had I had the foggiest, I would have refrained from EVER broaching anything the least bit personal. I'm a pretty upfront person and, as you can verify from other Friends (both MALE & FEMALE) and even some of my reviews, I frequently touch upon things from my personal life. It was NEVER my intention to spook or offend you in any way. If you would consider Friending-up again, either on NING, the NF site or both, you can rest assured I would ONLY discuss movies and directly related topics. Still, If you were to show all the NOTES I sent you, I really don't think ANYONE would find ANYTHING they would call inapropriate. As always, I think your reviews are excellent...BTW, as a gesture of our former friendship, I ++'d the first 5 pages of your Reviews! Of course, I hope you decide to become a Friend again, but whatever your decision, I will respect it. If you do decide to pass for now, you are ALWAYS welcome in the future. Oh, My ranking is now 675!
Hope to Hear From You Soon & May God Bless You and Keep You...

I just read your review of Dark Knight, giving you a helpful, as I thought you were right on target. I felt the same as you and also wrote a helpful review that many people did not like apparently. I thought it was a great movie even if you don't like that genre.

Yes, like yours, too. I chose her as my icon because people have been telling me I look like her since I was 9. Other things she and I have in common: same age, both had a gap between our two front teeth as kids, we both speak French. :-)

Hi, I see Lumet's 12 ANGRY MEN is one of your faves; it's one of my top ten favorites too! I wrote a review on the Netflix site so please check it out. I have the same username (and picture) on both sites.

I like to write them (reviews that is), but it's hard to write with two little ones all over the place. I've only managed to write a few so far.

Hey Secret Agent Gal! How about joining my "Woman" group. We suggest movies with strong female characters in them.

Thanks for adding me as a friend Secret Agent Gal. Loved Shawshank and Silence of the Lambs. I'll have to check out some of the others you’ve listed as favs.

I think you may sell Connecticut short. As small as it is, it has much more to offer than Indiana or Oklahoma. I know that isn't saying much, but when you consider the size... I loved working in downtown Hartford (across from G Fox & Co), sailing on LI Sound, the rugged northwest, Old Mystic Seaport, museums galore (esp American art), a good performing arts scene, Westfarms Mall, Lowell Weicker... (I'm still embarrassed that I voted for Lieberman against Weicker in '88)

It'll be interesting to see if Alice and I've made any difference to your rating. I went through your reviews too.

When I first moved to CT, I was talking college experiences with a new colleague. When he told me where he went to school. I asked him why he'd want to spend 9 months/yr in the cold, dark tundra. He seemed perplexed. A few days later, while watching the news they flashed to a place called Storrs. I realized that he meant UConn, not Yukon.

Thanks, Secret Agent Gal; happy to add you as a friend. You listed 12 Angry Men as one of your favorites; have you seen the remake with the otherwise excellent Jack Lemmon? As good as the original was, that's how bad the remake is. They really CAN'T make 'em like that anymore...

I just saw that you live in New Britain. I lived in New Britain in 1988-1989 in a mid-rise apt on East St (near CCSU) in my American Airlines days, before I decided that a 55 mile commute (to Hartford) and to pay state income tax were just what I needed and moved to Amherst MA.
