I also love it that Rebekah del Rio is the only one in any Lynch flick that is playing their real self.

When this movie first came out, the lesbian biker couple sitting behind us in the movie theater chose this moment in the screening to step up their random chatting and laughter. They should have been in fear for their lives from my movie-watching companion, but they were blithely oblivious to their surroundings and their danger. Anyway, David Lynch's fondness for Roy Orbison took on an extra layer of ominous portent for me.
