It would be really nice... Image dropping a DVD off at a Redbox and the next movie in your queue being sent immediately! Unfortunately I think the logistics of inventory control would overrule something that cool.

Better -- they give you a swipe card, and the redbox gives you multiple choice of movies available immediately...since these disks are idle inventory, it won't raise costs to provide them immediately, and no postage.

Good point.. The only thing I ever liked about blockbuster was that immediate gratification of taking the mailer to the store and picking up a movie. If Netflix could do something like that I would be a happy camper. I might even buy more stock!

YES! That's the idea, it obvi wouldn't carry all titles, much like the watch instantly, it would show you which ones are available for immediate rental. The bigger issue I think would be where in redbox to store the many return rentals if people begin to use it as a mailbox!

Thanks for the responses. It must be another urban myth I heard somewhere. You know, like if you are the 100,000 customer of the year at the local Walgreen's they will develop your camera film free for a month.
