Just though it would be cool to start a place where we can all share our reviews of Anime we are watching on Netflix. The hot zone can be used for the unlicensed material, but it's best to have a place where we review what we are watching "ON NETFLIX" for others to see. Short description with links to longer reviews will be a great resource for others to find information on Anime offered by Netflix.

Oh and about paranoia agent it's worth watching just for the first four episodes, but after that the show gets really bad.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Orion1 on May 10, 2008 at 10:43pm: So I just finished watching "Kite the directors cut" and "Mezzo Forte unrated". Kite turned out to much better than I had anticipated. Disturbing, bloody and ultimately a great story. They sex scenes were pornographic but they seemed to add to this crazy story about a sexually abused assassin. This movie fit in well with the story arc of "Kite Liberator" too. I'm actually of the opinion now that "kite" is better, not because of the sex, but because of it's more realistic approach. I felt that "Kite Liberator" went to far with the adding of the stupid bone monster. Why, this story doesn't need a monster. Human nature is evil and scary enough. So after watching "kite" I'm actually somewhat disappointed with "Kite Liberator". However it was fun to see all the "Kite" characters reintroduced in this new setting. I actually just went back and started understanding "kL" a lot better. haha. In summation, I haven't seen the edited version yet, but if it did in fact cut out some of the story background I could see how it could make the film have less of an impact.

As for "Mezzo Forte", it turned to be excellent. I'm really hoping that Mezzo is as good. In this uncut version there was also a little pornographic sex, but once again the perv in me said that it was just fine. Plus there wasn't to much that it distracted from the action packed storyline. Look for Mukai in the very beginning, she walks by in background. Lots of blood, dismemberment and masochistic killings. As for Mezzo Forte I have the Original Screener rip that I Downloaded years ago just got to remember where i put i think i turned it into DVD format. I think you are gonna Love Mezzo and it is also on Instant Watch on Netfilx and i checked out all your reviews your a good reviewer; ▶ Reply to This

The fact that the abuse is so graphic is a large part of what drives the storyline. It's also why I was really cheering her on when she shot the SOB in the crotch. Of course, I would have used a spork, but then to each his own. LOL.

Haven't seen Kite Liberator...will probably check it out, even though the bone monster sounds pretty lame. Definitely plan on watching Mezzo Forte cause I absolutely loved Mezzo!

The gun shot to the crotch was pretty great. I think the action sequence in the mens bathroom and the falling sequence really kicked ass. When the truck exploded and sent her flying. I was truly in action bliss. I want them to make a "Kite" live action. As for the sex, I liked it of course, but they could have cut the porn parts out and you could have got the idea about the extent of the abuse. And besides, that scene where her little lover was watching, dirty little girl gave a few looks back that just screamed, look at me I'm a dirty little whore and I like it. Guilty pleasure, she is a sick product of her environment, but it was hot.; ▶ Reply to This

the scene in the bathroom/falling was what really made the whole thing worth watching. action bliss? hell, yeah! they could have cut out some of the porn, but by leaving it in the director really shoved it in your face. sorta kicked it up a notch. the girl with the duct tape over her mouth being abused by that gross MF Kanie was the most disturbing scene of all for me. ick. did you notice his lazy eye? I obsessed over that for some reason. sometimes I focus on little shit like that. absolutely drives me nuts. the boyfriend was the only likeable one in the bunch. the ending sucked...snotty lil girl shootin at the boyfriend, cat food cans all over, kitties waitin for him. made me kinda sad. not to go all girlie, but little fuzzy critters get to me every time. couldn't have cared less that she was waitin for him, though. didn't feel much in the way of sympathy for her somehow. I think it was because she came across as looking out for numero uno and f*ck everybody else. I tend to dislike heartless bastards. she is a product of her environment as you said, though.; ▶ Reply to This

However, that little girl that kills homie with the cat food, is the next main character. Pay attention because they all work at the same dinner. Those conversations are great. Like, how she's pregnant, and she's waiting for her husband. If they make another kite ova, it could pop off between the little girl and main character in Kite. Could be interesting.
