I think the endings of Memento and Fight Club offered some of the better surprises and for sheer fun Michael Caine's final line in the original The Italian Job, still cracks me up. So, what are your favorites?

I remember people cursing out loud when Limbo ended, some people were furious
That's because there was no shiny, pretty, colorful bow.

ending in films are always disappointing, they tend to leave you wanting more...

I doubt anyone could say that about Showgirls. On that note, I'd have to say that the ending of Showgirls was the best because the horror of it all has finally ended. :-)

How about the ending to The Sopranos?

The Sopranos? I could hear my neighbor screaming from what over here, then she was banging on my door to make sure that the cable hadn't gone out. But it had to end with Tony dead, and Carm and Junior for good measure, only Meadow seemed ready to move on. Personally, I loved it.

Oooh I loved that ending, Spin. My friends and I are still to this day having oh so much fun speculating about what happened to Tony and his family. Oodles and oodles of fun, fun, fun!

LOL! Sorry, Spin, couldn't help myself. ;)

Irresistible, no?

"Ooh. Best last line of a movie, ever."
...according to Billy Crystal in When Harry Met Sally.

According to quite a few people, come to that.

The first place I saw Casablanca made into a fetish film was the funniest.

Casablanca is the ultimate......followed closely by White Heat.

From what I have read on other posts I am sure this will take some fodder but The Departed. I absolutely loved the ending of The Departed. I was heart broken when Leo got shot. Then I wanted to stand up in the theater and scream " Yeah, Yeah you got what was coming to you, didn't ya!" Severe emotions right on top of one another....yup! I loved the ending.

yes, there was a certain sense of satisfaction at the end, wasn't it?
