"The Watchmen" -one of my faves of all time, is coming to the screen.
Director of "300" ( Zack Snyder) is directing - and some ok casting.
Kudos to getting Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach.
Interesting though - since I don't know a lof of people, except fanboys, who know of this comic. And most, including me, never thought it could be made into a film. You can download chapter 1 of the Watchmen motion comic on itunes for free. It is pretty much someone reading the comic, and there is minimal animation in the artwork. I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but it might be worth checking out for anyone that is interested in the book.
I wouldn't worry about Alan Moore taking his name off of it. He takes his name off of everything. I can see his point on League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but V for Vendetta was pretty good, and he didn't want anything to do with it either.
