This is by far an obvious recommendation but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on here yet. I recently received the Roku Player and I've been using it pretty frequently now. One idea for future software improvement/update would be a sort feature right on user interface of the box. If we could choose to browse our films in the instant queue by Alphabetical, Genre/Category, or Numeric Order, I think it would be a lot easier to find films that you've placed in the queue rather than trying to remember if its 129 or 179 in your queue. I'm sure this will become more necessary as people add more and more titles from the instant watch library. Being able to sort comedy from horror from documentary would be awesome when having guests over to watch a movie because I sometimes forget what I put in my queue until I'm sitting in front of the TV to watch something.

Thanks for your time and I hope that helps... Otherwise, I love the box and increasing selection.

Good suggestion. I have not yet run into that problem since my IW queue is still relatively small. But I can see how it would become cumbersome to have to scroll through all the movies in the queue.

I thought about getting this, but didn't once I found out that I would somehow have to have a really long wire to connect it to the player to the TV and to the computer. Do you have the computer right next to the tv to hook it up? It might sound like a stupid question.

I use wireless, which works great. The tv doesn't have to be anywhere near the computer.

Yeah, but do you have to have a wireless connection on your computer for it to work? Like I said sorry if I sound stupid I am just somewhat technically challenged when it comes to high tech stuff.

Here's a typical setup with wireless. In fact, the computer that is shown as wired could also be wireless. None of the wireless items need to be in the same room as the router.

ok, I am going to order this thing and hopefully I can figure everything out. Thanks, Not a Turnip.

I'm sure lots of people here will gladly help if you have questions.

My favorite tip for wireless: Mount the wireless router as high as possible. You will drastically improve the stability of the connections. Once I moved mine from my desk to the top of a 5 foot tall bookshelf, ALL my problems went away.

it would be nice if there was a quicker way to get to your selections, like on our roku box since the whole family has to share the list from 1-100 we have the kids show for our 2 youngest, from 101-150 is for our oldest daughter and from that point we got documentaries and then i put stuff that hubby likes and then we got tv series and then comedies, actions, disaster films, drama and then horror and at very end i have the music videos. last count on our box we have 480 items on our box at one time we 499 on there and that is the most you can put on the box.
since my stuff is towards the middle i just wish they had it where you could jump to a certain number , as for right now i have to press the button with 3 arrows and hold it down to go fast to the area i want
