HELP!!! Horror/Sci-Fi fans needed!
OK...I am going to ask for help to remember a movie I saw as a kid...don't remember quite that much about it, but it haunts my memory and I just have to figure this out!!! So here it goes.....
Movie in question was either a 70's or early 80's horror movie. I saw it on TV, so not sure if it was a made for TV movie. In this movie I remember something BAD being in the air, and it killed lots of birds, sent people into seizures...thought it was The Andromeda Strain, but after a recent refresher it definately was not the one I thought it was. Did they do a remake of it and that is the ghostly images I see? Don't know...wish I could remember more, this is such a vague memory...Hopefully someone out there saw it and can help relieve my anguish!!!

Yeah, that was my first thought too. (but the Stand was made in the 90's) Do you remember an early scene in a diner/ gas station, or of dead people hanging lifeless from their cars? How widespread was the disease?

Another question, did the people die or just have seizures?
If it's just widespread disease (not death) then it could be 'The Crazies' (1973) but I don't think any birds died in that one.

They died AFTER the seizures...one scene that haunts me is either a school or hospital, and it comes in through a pipe-like air duct and a small child takes a seizure and a person tries to help them but becomes inflicted too.. remember birds dropping on the grass outside this building just before too...small birds mostly. This is driving me bonkers!

You can request it yourself, but I've found that the best way to get them to order a title is to get other people to request it as well. You could do this by writing a review on Netflix about a similar type of move (hopefully getting your review into one of the top positions for traffic) -at the end of the review recommend the movie and ask people to join you in requesting it. Warning you cannot use the word 'Netflix' in a review, so be creative.
Another thing you could try is posting threads on group boards that are relevant such as this one, horror groups, maybe disaster films of the 70's...
Something like "PLAGUE (1978) does anyone else remember this movie? Join me in requesting this title from Netflix!"
