I got SO addicted to The Vicar of Dibley, it just isnt funny.
I mean, REALLY addicted. I havent been this addicted to a tv show since CHiPs!
I just watched the final two episodes where Gerry gets married.
What a short lived series.....
What a totally awesome series.....
Gawd I hate that empty feeling when something SO freeking good is gone!
The Vicar of Dibley even goes beyond the perfection of AbFab!
(yeah, I WENT there!)
Is there a BBC comedy show you are totally addicted too?
Or have been addicted too, that is no longer made?
Oooh. And I'm not saying you're a religious fanatic, Mr. Tinkles, but if you "get" the humor of The Vicar of Dibley, you might also like Father Ted. I hasten to add, it is Irish, lest somebody get huffy about it being lumped in with all those English people.
Extras is great!!! I tried to like Little Britain and Father Ted but couldn't. Peep Show looks good and I put that in my Queue. Eddie Izzard is the top comic in my opinion. Lets watch him:
Ive seen Eddie in a few movies, and thought he was really good.
Theres a movie he did with "Joey" from Friends, where they were in WWI, and had to dress up as women to go over the "enemy lines". I think its called All the Queens Men.
It was an excellent movie.
Oh, I do like Father Ted! And My Hero too. I havent seen Spaced, but I keep hearing good things about it. I will have to check it out.
Ive seen Little Britain, and sorry to say, I didnt even find a giggle in it.
Have seen Extras at the Library, so I may check that out too.
Will have to check out Mapp and Lucia then too.
I love a lot of BritComs, but V of D has been the utlimate of BBC comedy perfection. I would say that AbFab is second, then Are You Being Served/Again, Waiting For God, Good Neighbors, and Next of Kin.
Ooo, cant wait to see some of these others everybody has mentioned!!!!
