Does this plot sound familiar to anyone????
I'm trying to track down a movie/television show. I thought it was Alien Nation, but we just watched that, and it definitely wasn't the movie in my head.
The facts I'm am sure about are:
2 people have a scuffle of some sort in an alley and come across a box of sunglasses
These sunglasses change signs etc into subliminal messages
The 2 (or more) people try to stop whatever the takeover of Earth is??
Unsure about:
Whether the sunglasses facilitate the change or just expose it
Whether the "change" still appears human or whether there are aliens openly living in the community such as in Alien Nation
Whether the people trying to save Earth are cops or some other career.
Lastly, I have no idea who the actors are - or even a general description.
Anyone have any ideas??

Pretty sure that's They Live with Roddy Pipper. The aliens have put subliminal images on everything and only those who have the sunglasses can see the images and the aliens among us.

I admit the movie was kinda fun--but it was hard to sustain interest --as it was definitely a spoof of sorts that was just a bit to dry to be really amusing--and was a little too farfetched to take too seriously as a straight sci-fi film! But then again--when you see that it stars Roddy Piper--just how serious could it be??> LOL
