Movies you liked as a kid, but now realise that they were terrible

I remember watching Hawk the Slayer back in the 80's and thinking that it was an "awesome" movie...having watched it again, I really don't know what I was thinking. I even thought I had the wrong film...mind you, it's not a bad film...just not as "radical" as I remembered it. I guess back then, we expected much less from our movies.

A lot of the fantasy films from the 80s, made when Dungeons and Dragons was in its above ground heyday, I imagine I would not think are quite as cool. Like The Dungeonmaster with Richard Moll.

For me, it's Beastmaster. Loved it when I was a kid but I can't stand it now.

I have fond memories of watching Beastmaster...it's been many years since I've seen it though...
An interesting piece of trivia: Marc Singer is the cousin of Brian Singer. Marc is also working on a new V mini-series

Popeye (1980). I watched it so much as a kid, but now just thinking about it makes me cringe.

All the Jerry Lewis movies, ie The Nutty Professor.

I hate to admit it, but I was totally obsessed with Titanic in the 5th grade. I've since moved on.

I think there were a lot of us out there that loved that movie just because he was in it.

I thought he was a guy stuck doing ketchup commercials now, but when I looked him up I see that he committed suicide. Sad.

Were you thinking of the Jay Underwood (the dude in The Boy Who Could Fly)? Cause that guy makes a lot of commercials now.

His best role was in Uncle Buck! Maybe, those faces tend to meld together after so many years.
