I remember watching Hawk the Slayer back in the 80's and thinking that it was an "awesome" movie...having watched it again, I really don't know what I was thinking. I even thought I had the wrong film...mind you, it's not a bad film...just not as "radical" as I remembered it. I guess back then, we expected much less from our movies.
A lot of the fantasy films from the 80s, made when Dungeons and Dragons was in its above ground heyday, I imagine I would not think are quite as cool. Like The Dungeonmaster with Richard Moll.
I have fond memories of watching Beastmaster...it's been many years since I've seen it though...
