Russians are a bit bony, in my opinion. I like sturdy cats. Probably the best outdoor cat would be the Norwegian Forest. The vikings' favorite cat, and also featured in Norse Mythology. Pretty badass.

That bottom cat looks exactly like my fuzzball. Had I know he's was going to grow up to be that goddam fluffy, I never would have taken him.
Norwegian Forest cats are ancestors of the Maine Coon. Same basic genetic info, slightly different.
