does anyone know how to request movies that Netflix doesn't carry? I am looking for an old movie from 1995 called Angus. It is a coming of age movie starring Perry Anzilotti, Kathy Bates, and George C Scott. It is probably one of the best coming of age movies that I have ever seen but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Pretty sure Angus is out of print. Amazon has used copies, but no new ones.

At any rate, you can request titles at Netflix by going to Contact Us at the bottom of each page, and then clicking on Title Request.

If you can find out for sure if it's still in print, you may want to try to include a link to a retailer when you make the request.

Angus has never been released on DVD, it appears from comments read that New Line Cinema forgot who they sold the movie rights to, and as such the movie cannot be made into a DVD.

There is however an online petition requesting that New Line Cinema, Inc.; Atlas Entertainment release the title on DVD. The petition is current and has almost 3100 signatures on it.

Hi Kelly,

Photo heathen answered your query but you can look anything up on IMDB.com (usually up-to-date) to see the DVD Details link to confirm whether it's out.

I have a Blockbuster Movies list that contains all the title requests I've made that Netflix still lists as Saved. A few others keep their own Saved lists. Netflix does fill in requests, presumably as the market allows; I've seen come requests get filled within few months and others languish for much longer. Some things are just not available and a number of things we'd all like to see on DVD, the studios have not yet acted in that direction. (Duckman, wherefore art thou?!)

Good luck on your searches. I do occasionally check the online catalog for my public library system (since it's across the street from my front door) and find things there, among other places. Ciao!
