001- Deja Vu
Déjà vu -- that powerful but fleeting sense that you've been here, or met someone, before. ATF agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) finds himself dogged by that feeling as he investigates a bombing on a New Orleans ferry. Should he shrug off the unsettling sensation, or can it help him unravel the clues he needs to save hundreds of innocent people from disaster? Directed by Tony Scott, this thriller also stars James Caviezel and Val Kilmer.
002- The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
In Luis Bunuel's deliciously satiric, Oscar-winning masterpiece, an upper-class sextet sits down to dinner but never eats, their attempts continually thwarted by a vaudevillian mixture of events both actual and imagined. Perhaps his greatest film, Bunuel's absurdist view of the upper class is a timeless satire about consumerism and class privilege in a late capitalist world.
003- Forgiving the Franklins
In his directorial debut, Jay Floyd brings us the story of the Franklin family, conservative Christians whose lives are turned upside down (quite literally) in a car accident. After a run-in with Jesus, the Franklins are converted to believers of as much sex as possible, clashing with the fundamentalist views in their Southern community. This black comedy explores issues such as bigotry and sexual repression all while giving you the kicks.
004- King Kong: Special Edition
Delivering action, adventure, chills and thrills, this precedent-setting monster movie tells a timeless tale of man vs. beast. While shooting in the jungle, filmmaker Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) discovers an awe-inspiring marvel of nature: a 50-foot gorilla dubbed Kong. Subduing the mighty beast, the crew returns to New York with the primate, who promptly escapes, spreading mayhem and going ape for the production's leading lady (Fay Wray).
005- The Terminal
Viktor Navorski (Tom Hanks) is a man without a country; his plane took off just as a coup d'etat exploded in his homeland, leaving it in shambles. Now, he's landed at Kennedy Airport, where he meets a beautiful stranger, Amelia (Catherine Zeta-Jones). But with a passport that nobody recognizes, Viktor is quarantined in the transit lounge until authorities can figure out what to do with him. Is he doomed to live in "no man's land" forever?
006- Dirty Filthy Love
Michael Sheen and Shirley Henderson star in this sensitive romantic comedy about a man who struggles with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Tourette's Syndrome. Unable to control his behavior, Mark (Michael Sheen) loses his job, his wife and his home before he finally joins a support group. Feeling less alone in the world, Mark bonds with the quirky members in his therapy sessions and begins a relationship with his group leader, Charlotte.
007- The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking
Pigtailed Pippi (Tami Erin) returns for another round of merriment and mischief. After washing overboard during a ferocious storm, the titian-haired troublemaker drifts ashore (along with her talking horse and monkey) to a seaside village, where she proceeds to turn the town upside down with her high jinks and magic powers. But Pippi's pranks soon put her on a collision course with Miss Bannister (Eileen Brennan), the local social worker. …
008- Moonlight Mile
Moonlight Mile is the story of a young man (Jake Gyllenhaal) who's taken in by the mother (Susan Sarandon) and father (Dustin Hoffman) of his recently deceased fiancée, as he's the only living connection to their daughter. Even as they're all still grieving, Gyllenhaal begins to fall in love with a woman (Ellen Pompeo) whose boyfriend has gone missing. But will Gyllenhaal's former in-laws-to-be accept the new relationship?
009- Talk to Me
Oscar nominee Don Cheadle stars as real-life radio trailblazer Ralph "Petey" Greene, a high-school dropout and charismatic ex-con who leveraged a prison disc jockey gig into a stint at a Washington, D.C., radio station, a television show and an invitation to the White House. Chiwetel Ejiofor, Martin Sheen, Cedric the Entertainer and Taraji P. Henson also star in this compelling biopic from director Kasi Lemmons.
010- 1408: Unrated Version
In this thriller based on a Stephen King story, writer and paranormal debunker Mike Enslin (John Cusack) is determined to demystify the ghostly events of room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel, even though the clerk (Samuel L. Jackson) begs him to rethink his plans. Mike needs to write another book, and room 1408 may be his big ticket. But will he survive even one night? This unrated version includes extra footage and an alternate ending.

Name change, some visual changes...
Maybe it's the hour, and maybe i'm being ridiculous, but this community is YOUR community - it's not mine and it's not from Netflix, and I guess i was thinking that it might be confusing to some people when it looked so much like the community page from which it is now (temporarily?) linked, when it had the same logo treatment as the Netflix Community (and color scheme), and that it presented itself as "THE" community, when in fact it is just one of any number that could exist.

Blog Experiment
Do we need a "community" here, and a blog elsewhere? Ideally perhaps both would be "within" the netflix pages, but even if they are not, couldn't they both be merged somehow?
I'm going to copy a couple of my 'classic' blog posting from the Community Blog and add them here, just to see how all this works and whether i think it is a good or better location for blog stuff.
Your suggestions and feedback are, of course, valued.

Moving the Needle
When I add something to the site — like the Latest Reviews block or the Members Top 10 Lists, I am looking to see how many of our subscribers use it, and come back to use it again. I have this idea to up a section, or 'portal' if you will , -from my general 'Sci-Fi Forum' site- linking the user to all the other Sci-Fi related groups here (such as 'Bladerunner Fans').
i'm still trying to figure out the logistics since I am not a super saavy computer person... so if you have any ideas or suggestions to contribute, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

i have a question about when you worked at netflix- do you know if the owner is japanese? or if the company is actually based in Japan? heard some rumors... i know it's a dumb question lol
Please know that not everyone is against the changes being made by Netflix... As long as I have this wonderful safehaven, I don't feel as tied to Profiles as others seem to be.
