Celebrated documentary filmmaker Werner Herzog takes you on a wild and woolly journey to the South Pole, from the National Science Foundation's headquarters on Ross Island to some of Antarctica's most remote and dangerous terrain. With a keen eye for the wonders and sometimes hilarious peculiarities of this icy land's animal and human inhabitants, Herzog offers an astounding look at the world's most inhospitable landscape.

In a strange land where East meets West, two rival gangs, the Heike Reds and the Genji Whites, are locked in a deadly feud over a fortune in gold. A lone hero (Hideaki Ito) comes to town, meets the gangs' various victims and tries to restore order to the chaos. Director Quentin Tarantino guest stars as a gunslinger in this visually stunning Japanese spaghetti Western from cult film director Takashi Miike.

For four years, Margit (Myrna Loy) has planned every move of her sister Irene (Florence Rice) and Irene's fiancé (John Beal) and has big things in store for their wedding. But Margit's well-ordered life falls apart with the appearance of freewheeling Charlie Lodge (William Powell). Polar opposites, Margit and Charlie clash over Irene's impending nuptials. Famed screen team Loy and Powell pair for the seventh time in this lighthearted comedy.

College professor Youssef (Parviz Parastui) never let his blindness stand in the way of a rich life, but when he undergoes experimental surgery in France, he's thrilled to have his sight restored -- even though he now faces many new adjustments. Returning to Iran, Youssef struggles to reconcile reality with the images created in his mind's eye for years. Award-winning director Majid Majidi co-wrote the screenplay for this bittersweet drama.

A film so epic, it demanded the talents of three directors, including the master of Westerns, John Ford. You'll follow three generations of the adventurous Prescott family, who risk life and limb to carve out a new existence on the American frontier. The stellar cast includes Karl Malden, James Stewart, Debbie Reynolds, Gregory Peck and George Peppard.

A largely forgotten action-adventure gem, The Professionals teams Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan and Burt Lancaster with more star wattage than most Westerns have ever marshaled. Hired to retrieve kidnapped Claudia Cardinale from bandito Jack Palance, these pros shoot, rope and ride all over northern Mexico. Gorgeous cinematography from Conrad L. Hall (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) makes The Professionals ideal summertime entertainment.

Irène (Audrey Tautou), who makes a fortune sweet-talking rich men, puts the moves on klutzy Jean (Gad Elmaleh), unaware that he's just a hotel bartender. But by the time she realizes her mistake, Jean is smitten with her. Letting men down easy has never been Irène's strong suit, but she finds a way to mend Jean's broken heart that ensures he'll never have to mix cocktails again. Vernon Dobtcheff co-stars in this wacky French farce.

Director Richard Thorpe puts the accent on levity in this breezy installment of the stylish detective series. High-toned sleuths Nick (William Powell) and Nora (Myrna Loy) head to Nick's leisurely hometown of Sycamore Springs for a vacation, only to find themselves enmeshed in a string of homicide cases and intercontinental intrigue. The slate of eccentric murder suspects includes Leon Ames, Gloria De Haven and Anne Revere.

Quiet and unassuming Dan Mahowny (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an assistant bank manager with a penchant for gambling and a talent for embezzling, may seem the unlikeliest of men to rise up against two of the most powerful financial institutions around: the bank and the casino. But that he does … to some degree of success. This crime thriller also stars Minnie Driver and John Hurt.

In the sixth (and last) entry in the popular series, high-class sleuths Nick (William Powell) and Nora (Myrna Loy) are called upon to investigate bandleader Tommy Drake's murder. While the cops zero in on gaming-ship owner Phil Brant (Bruce Cowling) -- who was soon to lose Drake to a rival -- Nick and Nora pursue other suspects, including curvaceous chanteuse Fran Page (Gloria Grahame). Dean Stockwell plays the detective duo's 5-year-old son.
