Thanks for the warning. I do like Half Nelson a lot, it was painful to watch. As for Freedom Writers.... I am not sure you would like it because it is "Hollywood-sy" and a feel-good movie. Hilary Swank didn't shine as she should, I thought. She was superb in Million Dollar Baby. I like Freedom Writers because of its story - based on a true story. It also draws a parallel between gang violence and racism issues in the streets of LA and the start of anti Semitic violence/holocaust in pre WW II Europe. It's not a bad movie, it just feels scripted.

I haven't yet seen it, believe it or not. I bought it because I was getting so tired of waiting and then didn't get around to watching it. Ha ha. I've seen a lot of other films in between. I will try to watch it in the next day or so and let you know. thanks for asking.

I have not seen Requiem For A Dream, I will. I like Half Nelson a lot. I saw it after I saw Freedom Writers, so it really put things into perspectives for me.

I heard about Sicko a while ago and thought it would be something I'd like to watch as well. Thanks for sharing your take on it. You like Thai movies... I have not seen any, that is if you don't count Ana and The King to be one.. ";). I will keep those movies in mind, I will definitely check them out. I love Asian movies, so far I watched a lot of Chinese movies. One of my favorites is To Live. I recently watched this Japanese movie, Nobody Knows... it is good, but it is the saddest movie I have seen to date.

What do you think about Paris Je T'Taime??? It was different, but very creative.

The Darjeeling Limited is actually one of my all time favorite films. But I think you have to really like Wes Anderson's style to appreciate his movies. On the surface the Darjeeling Limited is the story about the three brothers' journey to find spirituality, but underneath there are lots of symbolisms. I watched it twice.

Decalogue is excellent, bear in mind I like thought provoking films. When you are ready, I suggest you watch it one disc at the time - it comes in 3 discs. It's 10 hours long, all together.
