I actually really enjoyed Mama Mia! Those types of movies are not the ones I usually go for. I liked how the mom was raising a daughter and running a buisness on her own.
Hi Jess, sorry it took me so long to reply! I wasn't on the site for a while. I joined your women's club -I like the idea.
I noticed on the Netflix 'most watched actors' feature, that pretty much all, of the actors are guys -on nearly every profile (mine included). It made mr realise that women in Hollywood are not getting as many lead roles and/or getting them within a much shorter-lived career. So in their honor, I made myself an index (I'm a total dork) of all the strong women that I had seen and admired in film. Strangely, the genre I had the hardest time finding female leads in, was comedy. I think it's because so often the women are cast to play the 'straight man' to the 'wacky guy'.
