C.S. Lewis' magical series comes to life when, on the run from bullies at school, Eustace and Jill find themselves in the enchanted land of Narnia. Prince Rilian, son of the old and frail king, has disappeared and Aslan, the great lion, sends the children through treacherous lands of witches and giants to located the heir to the Narnia throne. But the witch who rules the underworld will ensure that this is no easy feat.

Mistaken as consultants to a beauty pageant in the town of Happy, Texas, two escaped convicts go along with the ruse, masquerading as gay lovers Harry (Jeremy Northam) and Wayne (Steve Zahn). In trying to teach Happy's Junior Misses to win, the two run up against a sheriff (William H. Macy) with the hots for Harry, and a local teacher (Illeana Douglas) catches Wayne's eye. Director Mark Illsley's comedy was a winner at the Sundance Film Festival.

On the battlefield of the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his friend Anakin Skywalker -- the future Darth Vader -- fight to keep the republic together in this feature-length animated addition to the Star Wars franchise. Joined by Padmé Amidala and Anakin's new apprentice, Ahsoka, our Jedi heroes do battle against a formidable range of opponents led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous.

When China's Valley of Peace is threatened, lazy Po the panda (voiced by Jack Black) discovers his destiny as the "chosen one" and trains to become a kung fu hero. Master Monkey (Jackie Chan) and Master Viper (Lucy Liu) impart their knowledge to Po, but transforming this slacker into a brave warrior isn't going to be easy. Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane and Michael Clarke Duncan also provide voices.

When a wide-eyed newlywed (Angela Punch McGregor) joins her husband (Arthur Dignam) in the Australian outback in 1901 to help him manage a large ranch, she forges a friendship with local Aborigines and slowly sheds her stuffy Victorian standards. This critically acclaimed and award-winning drama is based on the memoirs of Jeannie Gunn, the first white woman to venture into Australia's Northern Territory.

A rip-roaring (and often very funny) high seas adventure about a group of children being "shipped" to England by their parents so they won't lose out on a civilized upbringing. En route, however, a band of pirates hijacks the vessel, which sets into motion a sequence of cause-and-effect events, each more bizarre than the last. Stars Anthony Quinn and James Coburn.

This disc includes the episode "I Worship His Shadow."

Entrepreneurs Colm (Barry McEnvoy) and George (Brian F. O'Byrne) try to grow their toupee business in director Barry Levinson's comedy set in Northern Ireland. The partners are tired of cutting hair in the town prison, so when the man who supplies all the townsfolk with hairpieces is incarcerated, the two seize the opportunity. The trouble begins when competition arrives and the pair must sell 30 toupees in a race to remain on top.

African folktales that have been handed down through the generations are the crux of this animated story about a remarkably gifted child, Kirikou, imbued with physical strength, superior intelligence and the ability to talk from an amazingly early age. When an evil sorceress places a curse on the local village, Kirikou finds his talents co-opted by the townsfolk in their desperate attempt to lift the spell. The musical score is by Youssou N'Dour.

In this third installment of the entertaining anime franchise, cyborg terrorists threaten to shatter the precarious peace of postapocalyptic Olympus, home to the last of humanity. After the guerrillas nearly destroy Briareos in a shootout, Deunan -- his partner and gal pal -- is paired with Tereus, a strapping "bioroid" produced from Briareos' DNA. But complications ensue when Tereus takes a shine to Deunan.

I don't know what you celebrate, so I thought I'd post back a "Happy Winter Holidaze" picture. It's trees in winter in Norway, which is where my grandma (on my dad's side) hails from. Actually, she was born here, but both her parents were from Norway, so she was basically Norweigan.
