I am into movies, travel, photography and programming.
When it was getting difficult to figure out how long we had had movies sitting around at home for or even how long we kept movies on average for. To solve this, I wrote a program where I would just punch in my Netflix Queue RSS link and I'd have an always-refreshed and easy to understand webpage that tells me all I need to know about my rentals.
I figured it would useful for more than just me so I prettied up the program and set it up on FeedFlix I am sure you'll find it useful as well - try it out today.

I mentioned in your thread about feedflix that I would write about it in my blog. You asked me for the link to it and I told you that it was closed to a select readership. I have since reopened my journal to the public so I thought I'd share the link with you now if you'd like to check it out. I hadn't gotten around to blogging about it til the wee hours this morning. But if you want to check it out you can go HERE
Hi. I'm familiar with the concept of every man is an island, one voice per person, but that ignores the notion of community, that is, people talk amongst themselves and organize or speak one person in the name of a group. So you can't particularize us or say my discussions with others are invalid. I can however bend over backwards even more and say that I'll just ask each person to speak to you for themselves. That way you can hear from X number of people instead of one person speaking for X number. I wouldn't say language like "ticked off" is inaccurate or even unprofessional (unless you prefer "less than pleased" or "not amsued"). It is, however, unprofessional to attack me personally with pop psychology surmises and try to discredit the messenger. Now in keeping with my online community policy of allowing one comment and one response to each party in a complaint, let's drop this please. Life is too short. Thanks for your participation.
About recommendations, I would like to see those that NF recommends for me, and then see what FF reports. For instance "Late Ozu: Equinox Flower" is the movie NF recommends the highest for me. I'd like to see how many others have Equinox Flower at home, in queue and recommended. IOW, I'm looking for how the recommendation for me stacks up to Rotten Tomatoes.
Hi. Well maybe you have more email spooled off this page but I didn't see a View All for wall comments. My concern is (as I said) you've been emailing Netflix members when you can find our email addresses (and some are talking about it). Granted, the argument can be made that it's not spam if it's a one-time incident per recipient and more than 50% of recipients don't mind receiving it. The argument can further be made that it's not unsolicited commercial email if the service is free. I'm willing to accede these points; mine was only that commercial promotion is most acceptably done by advertising (putting up a shingle instead of stuffing a flyer in everyone's hand). Also, I hate spam -- which it looked like you were continuing to send brazenly -- and I take it personally. All I ask for is transparency and professionalism.
Dude, you seem to have deleted my suggestion to stop spamming members here and on Netflix. One month later, you are still spamming members and ticking people off. I guess that suggests you don't listen to well wishers. (I have also spoken well of and recommended Feedflix so you know I am playing fair.) If you want enemies, you can certainly win them by continuing this practice -- but we will follow your lead and take it public.

Great work! I'm glad there are gifted people like you in the world who can come up with stuff like that.
